What we install

Fence types

The honest rundown on each — what it's good at, what it costs you in upkeep, and what people wish they'd known.

Wood privacy fence with flowers growing along the base

01 — Wood privacy

Wood privacy

Pressure-treated pine or western red cedar, six or eight foot, dog-ear or board-on-board. It's the most common residential fence in this market for good reason — full privacy, and it takes stain well when you're ready.

  • Best for privacy, road noise and pet containment
  • Stain every three to five years to hold the color
  • Board-on-board costs more but won't gap as the wood dries

02 — Aluminum

Aluminum ornamental

Powder-coated aluminum in black or bronze. No rust, no repainting, and it meets pool-barrier code — which matters a great deal if you're fencing for an inspection.

  • Best for pools, front yards and HOA neighborhoods
  • Effectively zero maintenance
  • Get the pool code check done before material is ordered
Black vinyl-coated chain link fence

03 — Chain link

Chain link

Galvanized or black vinyl-coated, four to six foot. The most yard you can enclose for the least money, and it holds up for decades with almost no attention.

  • Best for large yards, dog runs and tight budgets
  • Nothing to maintain beyond the occasional gate adjustment
  • Black vinyl costs slightly more and nearly disappears against a treeline
Wooden split rail fence across a green field

04 — Split rail

Split rail & farm

Two, three or four rail in treated pine or cedar. Add welded wire mesh behind it and it'll hold anything smaller than a horse.

  • Best for acreage, property lines and livestock
  • Occasional rail replacement is the only upkeep
  • Priced by the foot, so long runs stay affordable

Gates

Where cheap work shows first

Gates sag, drag, and stop latching after one wet season. We hang walk gates, double drive gates and mower-width gates on heavy hinges, with posts set deeper than the rest of the run.

If you cut your own grass, tell us the deck width when we come measure. It's the single most common thing people wish they'd mentioned.
